01 Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or browsing Uniself, creating a customer account, purchasing books or magazines, or applying as a vendor, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and any applicable supplementary guidelines. If you disagree with any portion of these terms, you must refrain from using the platform.
02 Accounts & Security
When registering an account on Uniself:
- You must provide accurate, current, and complete legal information.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials, password, and session access.
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access, account compromise, or security breach.
- Uniself reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate platform policies or engage in fraudulent actions.
03 Orders, Pricing & Payment
All book listings, prices, publisher MRPs, edition details, and promotional discounts on Uniself are presented in Indian Rupees (INR ₹) inclusive of applicable taxes unless specified otherwise.
- Order Confirmation: An order is confirmed once payment verification is successfully received or valid Cash on Delivery is confirmed.
- Promotions & Volume Discounts: Offers (such as bundle discounts or promo tiers) apply strictly to eligible in-cart items meeting minimum thresholds.
- Price Corrections: In the rare event of an obvious catalog typographical error or pricing discrepancy, we reserve the right to cancel the order and provide a full refund.
04 Shipping & Delivery
Orders placed on Uniself are routed directly to accredited independent storage nodes and publishers.
- Dispatch Window: Standard dispatch occurs within 24 to 48 business hours after order confirmation.
- Tracking: A tracking number and delivery courier link are provided via your Customer Dashboard and notification channels.
- Delivery Address: Customers must provide complete addresses including correct PIN codes and active phone numbers to prevent return-to-origin (RTO) delays.
05 Returns, Replacements & Refunds
If you receive a damaged, defective, misprinted, or incorrect book edition, you may request a free replacement or 100% refund within 7 days of package delivery.
Refunds are credited back to the original payment source within 5 to 7 business banking days following receipt and verification of the returned item.
06 Intellectual Property & Copyright
All content on Uniself — including cover artworks, book descriptions, logos, graphics, previews, and digital magazine editions — is protected under applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. Users may not copy, scrape, redistribute, or reproduce catalog assets without explicit written authorization from Uniself or the respective copyright holder.
07 Prohibited Activities
Users agree not to engage in:
- Unauthorized scraping, data extraction, or automated bot requests targeting catalog pricing or inventories.
- Submitting fraudulent inquiries, fake reviews, or defamatory ratings.
- Attempting to bypass payment rails, reverse engineer codebases, or probe system vulnerabilities.
08 Limitation of Liability
Uniself is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Uniself and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages arising out of the use of our services or delayed merchant delivery.
09 Governing Law & Contact
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any legal disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.
